# RevealIT

Reveal IT is dedicated to providing free digital skills training for older people in our community. Digital skills are a precondition for digital inclusion. Many older people in our communities will have passed their working and personal lives without exposure to digital technologies or routine computer use and without the need to acquire digital skills. Digital skills training to enhance digital literacy for all and especially among older persons is therefore a key priority as societies advance digitalisation. The emergence of generative artificial intelligence and AI Agents has amplified the need for digital skills community based training to focus on digital inclusion for older people. Digital skills can empower older people to effectively, safely and securely use, and benefit from, the opportunities provided by digital technologies (smartphones, tablets, laptops and PCs) and the Internet. Digital Skills training will be provided by the voluntary participation of third level undergraduate and postgraduate students including those wishing to undertake work experience as Digital Skills Trainers. Government funded inter- generational training programmes are common in European settings such as the Austrian Government funded “Technology in Brief” project, where young people provide training in devices and smart phones to older persons. All Reveal IT Digital Skills Guides and Reveal IT Digital Skills Videos are free to download and to use. All Reveal IT Digital Skills training courses and drop-in sessions are free to attend. All of our Digital Skills Team are volunteers and receive no financial payments from Reveal IT.
