Our Mission
Digital skills are a precondition for digital inclusion. Many older people in our communities have passed their working and personal lives without exposure to digital technologies or routine computer use and without the need to acquire digital skills. Digital skills training to enhance digital literacy for all is essential for digital inclusion, and especially of older persons in our communitity.
The emergence of generative artificial intelligence and AI Agents has amplified the need for digital skills community based training to focus on digital inclusion for older people. Digital skills empower older people to effectively, safely and securely use, and benefit from the opportunities provided by digital technologies (smartphones, tablets, laptops and PCs), the Internet and AI.
At Reveal IT, digital skills training is provided for free through the voluntary participation of undergraduate and postgraduate university students including those wishing to undertake work experience as Digital Skills Trainers.
All of our digital skills training guides and training videos are also free to use and easily accessible through this website.

Dr. Aidan Duane
Director
Hello, I’m Aidan and I am the Director of Reveal IT. I have over 30 years’ experience as an IT professional. I have PhD (2009) and MSc (1999) in Information Systems from UCC and a Master of Education from SETU (2022). I have published research in over 75 international journals and conferences winning multiple awards. I am very committed to improving digital inclusion for older people and I look forward to working with you.
Sarah Hogan
Content Manager/Digital Trainer
I’m Sarah Hogan and I’m from Laois. I work as a Content Manager and Digital Trainer at Reveal IT. I love to help people improve their digital skills and confidence. Music is a big part of my life, and I’m a huge basketball fan whether I’m watching a game or shooting hoops to unwind. I’m curious by nature, always eager to explore new ideas and connect with others who love learning and technology as much as I do.

Hi, I’m Conor and I work as a Content Manager and Digital Trainer at Reveal IT. I live in Waterford and I have always found it satisfying to help people with whatever they need guidance. Being a part of Reveal IT has allowed me to hone my own skills to better aid others. In my free time I enjoy reading and writing, walking and a bit of gaming.

I enjoy working with people, sharing my digital skills, and learning from others along the way. Outside of work and study, I love playing tennis and hitting the gym.
